Announcing A Training Event In November On Good Mental Health At Work

A Free training event which will hear from industry professionals and trade union and health and safety experts about supporting young people at work, has been organised by Janet Newman from Greater Manchester Hazards Centre; a health and safety organsation supporting trade union representatives, workers and their families with health, safety and welfare issues and Dave Foyle from the LOcHER project. The project deliverers interactive and lively health and safety sessions to young people in colleges.

The free training event is aimed at young people in the workplace and includes sessions on:

* Young Workers’ Mental Health
* Ensuring the health, safety and welfare of apprentices and trainees
*Mentoring apprentices and trainees
*LOcHER and Unite in Schools

The event will include industry experts and health and safety professionals who will share their knowledge and experience; as well as resource materials for attendees to take away and use in their own workplace and organisation and an opportunity to download and use a new ‘Training Safe App’.
